Fashion Swap Shower
Picture enjoying appetizers and wine in the comfort of your home while shopping for FREE.
A unique shower theme has taken life in the form of a boutique featuring accessories, shoes, purses, and jewelry for gal pals to swap!
As your guests begin to arrive, display the guests’ item throughout your living room. Utilizing household items like, chargers, platters or even bookshelves you can display the items. Jewelry shows beautifully on chargers and heels on bookshelves create a shoe spectacle. As an added bonus, invite a stylist to provide your guests an added experience!
French Infused Shower
Sea foam, pink and gray tied with lace and lockets come together to encompass this French theme!
Grab a lace table runner and add some vintage books, vogue magazines and flowers to create your centerpieces. You now need some croissants, brie cheese, French baguettes and other finger foods for your guests to munch on.
To add a cool touch to your food display table, place the dessert platter atop a vintage suitcase.
Sombrero y Rancheros
Decorate sombreros with flowers and sequins to put a ‘ladies who lunch’ spin on the customary sombrero.
Cowboy hats can be tied to the backs of chairs doubling as décor and fun gifts! For the food, you could have a margarita bar, a tostada stand or even a nacho bar.
Don’t forget a piñata is a must when it comes to Sombrero y Rancheros. See Sombrero y Rancheros inspiration here.
Wine and Cheese Tasting Shower
Call up a local vineyard, wine tasting room or even host it at your house (You could have a sommelier come in!). This is a great to have if you’re hosting a couples/coed bridal shower and don’t want the guys to get too bored. It is also perfect if your bride is already living with her significant other and they already have a ton of house things. You can make it into a “stock the bar” theme and have people bring their favorite bottles of wine, wine glasses, etc.
Serve cheese and grapes with the wine to create a true tasting. Examples of good pairings can be found here.
When it comes to décor, channel your vino theme with small touches. Wine bottle designs on the invitations or invitations that are the shape of a bottle would be perfect! Place a few empty wine bottles as candle holders or place some flowers in them like a vase.
Around the Clock Shower
Family and friends of brides are yearning to throw a creative shower that separates itself from the classic, pin the tail on the donkey, type usually held.
The Around the Clock theme assigns guests a time of day for which they should bring a corresponding gift. For example, if assigned six a.m. a coffee maker may be gifted. Tags with the corresponding time are attached to the gift and they are opened in numerical order.
From breakfast to the bedroom, guests are given an opportunity to show their creativity and throw out the traditional registry.
