8 Quick Hints To Help You Plan Your Dream Winter Wedding
November 20, 2018
Winter weddings can be glamorous, cinematic and absolutely magical. With the right planning, your winter wedding will be a wonderland! Here are 8 helpful hints to ensure your day is perfect!
1. Winter Accessories
A faux fur wrap, a veil,a capeor a dramatic coatare all good options. You could also opt for a long sleeve wedding dress as well. And don't forget your bridesmaids! A charming wrap to wear on the day of your wedding makes a great bridesmaid present.
2. Don’t Ruin The Jimmy Choos!
If you’re wearing a fabulous pair of heels, have another shoe option for your outdoor photos. Rain boots would be a great option so you don’t sink in the mud or snow!
3. One Venue
If at all possible, having your ceremony and reception at the same venue, will make transport easier in case of bad weather. Also plan some extra travel time no matter how close or far you are going.
4. Have A Coat Check
It’s wise to have someone in charge of a coat check at the ceremony and reception so guests don’t have to carry them around. It also ensures they don’t get lost.
5. Make Sure Your Guests Are Warm
Make an extra effort to ensure your guests are warm when they arrive. Having a hot drink for guests to sip on as they arrive is a nice gesture and they will appreciate it, especially if it’s quite chilly outside!
6. Warm Up Your Menu
Adding some winter touches to your menu like squash or warm pumpkin soup is a lovely touch for a cold day. You could even serve a spiced wine as a little treat for your guests!
Decorating your tables with white poinsettias and adding touches of silver and gold while filling the room with elegant candle light is the perfect way to add that extra touch of romance to your winter wedding day.
8. Take Photos Early
It gets dark much earlier in the winter so adjust your photo schedule to a time when there is more light. We suggest taking your photos before the ceremony so you can ensure the best lighting.
